Copers are actually activities we use to help distract us and help us deal with negative emotions. Copers, or coping mechanisms, are different for every person. For example, some people may not want to “listen to music” when they are feeling “frustrated,” but “reading a comic book” might work for them.
This Flip Book allows you to individualize and personalize the Copers that work for you. The Flip Book is easy to keep in a handy, accessible place so it can be used when needed.
Individualize the book to meet your needs. There are even blank pages at the end so you can add other “feelings,” “needs” and “copers.”
The Coper's Flip Book contains 50 "feelings," "needs" and "copers" in it. Users simply "flip" through the pages to identify a feeling or need, then identify a "coper" to use to help deal with the feeling/need.
An excellent resource for clinicians and therapists, but easy enough to use for anyone who struggles with finding ways to cope with unhealthy feelings.
The flip book has colorful and engaging pictures of "copers" to engage adults and children alike!
